Leon L. Judge was born and raised in Norfolk, VA, to the late Leon Ferebee and Diane Judge. A decorated veteran, Leon served with distinction for 21 years in the military, where his leadership was consistently recognized and honored. Throughout his esteemed career, he excelled in various pivotal roles, including Unit Training Officer, Special Investigating Officer Against Sex/Hate Crimes,  Educational Resource Officer, Command Security Manager, Chief of the Morale Committee, Vice Chair of the Leadership and Diversity Advisory Committee, and Recruiter In Charge at the Coast Guard Recruiting Office in Atlanta. As a United States Marine, Leon was honorably discharged in 2002 as a Non-Commissioned Officer, and he officially retired in 2023 as a Chief Petty Officer. His capacity to lead with integrity and adaptability left a lasting legacy within the ranks.

For over two decades, Leon has dedicated himself to mentorship, a calling that he continues to pursue as an assistant basketball coach at Bethel High School. In this role, he mentors young men from 7th to 12th grade, guiding them not only in sports but also in essential life skills. Beyond the court, Leon is a committed life coach, passionately advocating for the importance of mental health and holistic personal development. He is also certified in suicide awareness and prevention, underscoring his commitment to supporting those in crisis.

Leon’s commitment to service knows no borders. His recent philanthropic work in Kenya, Africa, alongside his business partner Byron Singleton, exemplifies his global vision. Together, they adopted a village, ensuring that the community received vital resources, including sufficient food supplies, new clothing, and a modernized plumbing system.

With decades of leadership experience, Leon's influence is both far-reaching and multifaceted. He currently resides in Norfolk, where he is raising his four children: Jaylen, Omari, Paris, and Prince.
